Food Allergy and Serum IgG Tests
Serum IgG tests are not useful to make a diagnosis of food allergy according to studies published in The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. Food specific Serum IgG in blood tests shows that you were exposed to the foods in the past. High levels of serum IgG to food does not indicate a food allergy.
